SVG Planet (svgplanet.com) sells digital design files. This policy explains what we collect when you visit or buy from the store, why we collect it, who it is shared with, and what you can ask us to do with it. It applies to this website and to the emails we send.

What we collect
Information you give us. When you place an order we collect your name, email address and billing country. If you create an account we also store your username and a securely hashed password. If you email us or use a form on the site, we keep the message and your email address so we can reply.
Payment information. Payments are processed by our payment provider, not by us. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, the amount, and the last few digits or reference our provider passes back. We never see or store your full card number.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our server and security tools record your IP address, browser type, the pages you view and the time of your visit. When you download a purchased file, our shop software logs the download against your order so we can confirm delivery and spot abuse of a download link.
We do not ask for and do not want your date of birth, government ID, or any special category data such as health or political information. Please do not send it to us.
Why we collect it
We use your information to deliver the files you bought and give you access to your downloads; to send order confirmations, download links and replies to your support messages; to keep records we are required to keep for tax and accounting; to detect fraud and stop the same download link being shared widely; and to understand which designs people look for so we know what to make next.
Where the law requires a legal basis, ours is: performing our contract with you (delivering your order), our legitimate interests (running and protecting the store), legal obligation (tax records), and your consent (marketing email and non-essential cookies, which you can withdraw at any time).
Cookies and tracking
Essential cookies keep your cart and your login working and help our caching layer serve pages quickly. The store cannot function without them.
Pinterest. We publish our designs on Pinterest, and our store is connected to Pinterest through their official integration. This means a Pinterest tag may load on our pages and Pinterest may receive information about visits and purchases so they can measure how well a pin performed. Pinterest handles that data under its own privacy policy.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will stop checkout and downloads from working.
Marketing email
We only send marketing email to people who ask for it. Signing up to our list is optional, it is never a condition of buying, and every email has an unsubscribe link that works immediately. If you unsubscribe we stop sending, and we keep a note of your address only so that we do not add you back by mistake.
Order confirmations, download links and replies to your questions are not marketing. We send those because you bought something or wrote to us, and they do not stop when you unsubscribe from the newsletter.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not trade or rent mailing lists. We share only what is needed with the companies that help us run the store:
- our web host, which stores the site and its database;
- our payment provider, which takes the payment and handles card data;
- our email delivery service, which sends order and support email;
- our email marketing service, if you have opted in to the newsletter;
- Pinterest, as described above.
We may also disclose information if we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.
How long we keep it
Order and invoice records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require, usually several years. Account details are kept until you ask us to close the account. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Support emails are kept for up to two years so we have the history if you write again. Server and security logs are kept for a short period and then overwritten.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you, correct anything that is wrong, delete your data, or stop using it for marketing. Email hello@svgplanet.com and we will deal with it within 30 days. We will never charge you for asking, and we will never treat you differently because you did.
If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area, you also have the right to restrict or object to certain processing, the right to receive your data in a portable format, and the right to complain to your national data protection authority.
If you are in California, you have the right to know what we collect and why, to request deletion, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.
Deleting your data may mean we can no longer give you access to files you have already bought, because the order record is what proves the purchase. We will tell you if that applies before we act.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, passwords are stored hashed rather than in plain text, and purchased files are held in a protected folder that is not publicly listed. No system is perfectly secure, so if a breach ever affects your data we will tell you and the relevant authority as quickly as we are able.
Children
This store is meant for adults and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, email us and we will delete it.
Where your data is handled
We are an online business and the services we rely on operate internationally, so your information may be processed in a country other than your own. Where that happens we rely on our providers’ standard contractual protections for international transfers.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your data we will update this page and change the date below. If the change is significant and you are on our mailing list, we will tell you by email.
